Asbestosis is a condition that causes inflammation of the lung tissue caused by exposure to asbestos. However, asbestosis isn't curable , and there isn't any cure.

Female teachers are at the same mesothelioma risk like all other women. However, female teachers may be at a higher risk because of occupational exposure. In reality, studies have revealed that a significant portion of mesotheliomas in women could be the result of exposure to asbestos at school. Although the number of female mesotheliomas in women has decreased substantially over the last several decades, the mortality rate is lower than in the 1950s and 1960s.
